Palliative care is care for terminally ill men and women aimed at making their final days as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Our palliative care nurses are carefully chosen to provide individuals with the highest level of care and support for both the patient and their families.

Built to the highest of standards, the Palliative Care Wing consists of:

  • 9 light and spacious rooms
  • specially designed and fully adjustable bed with pressure relieving mattress
  • easy to use nurse call system
  • satellite television and internet access

Our architect designed these rooms and chose cheerful pastel colours with coordinating curtains and bed throws to give it a comfortable and calm feel.

The en-suite bathroom incorporates state of the art bathroom fittings including:

  • seated shower area
  • adjustable hand rails
  • nurse call system
  • ample storage

Four of the first floor rooms lead out onto a private patio area and the front facing rooms have stunning views across the valley to the Malvern Hills. This new wing has its own Nurses Station manned 24 hours a day and the wing is fully staffed with experienced RGN’s and Care Assistants specifically trained in palliative care.

We are very proud of this new wing which has been added seamlessly onto the existing 19th Century house. The care staff that work here are the most important part of the package providing comfort, care, understanding and discretion at all stages.

To offer a little support we have also built a new Bereavement Room to afford the family privacy during difficult times.
